By: Allahmah ibn Jauzi (Rahmatullah Alayh)
(kitaabul Azkiyaa’)
Luqmaan (Alayhis Salaam) said...
that man’s intelligence reached perfection only after 10 qualities have been imbued in him.
- Safety from pride
- Fully inclined to do righteous deeds
- To take only such material things which are absolutely necessary for one’s existence
- To spend all excess material possessions
- To regard Humility as higher than greatness
- To regard humiliation of one’s ego as dignity and better than highness
- Never to tire of acquiring knowledge
- Not to make demands on anyone for the fulfilment of one’s needs
- To regard the little favours, rendered by others as great and one’s own great favours rendered to others as insignificant.
- To regard all people as being better than yourself, and yourself as the worst of people.
